I am Marco Resti and I was born in 1976, I live in Tuscany, province of Arezzo.
I got my degree in 1995 as a foreign languages correspondent.
Till 2006, I worked with my family’s company, but my great passion, photography, was taking my mind wider and wider.
So, together with my current business partner; Nedo Baglioni, we decided to open our photo studio: INTRAphoto. Since then I’ve been going into photography deeper and deeper.
In April 2008 I attended a workshop in India held by the photo reporter Edoardo Agresti. This experience changed my life completely, actually since then I’ve started to look and to understand photography from other point of view. I have mantained a working collaboration with Edoardo Agresti.
Thanks to my job I manage to carry on my other great passion which is travelling.
In the past few years I’ve travelled a lot both for work and sometimes just for fun off: Malawi, India, Mongolia, Palestine...
Photography helps me to see everything from different points of view when I travel, it helps me in observing the subject of my photo building a delicate bond, and staying at a distance from it at the same time. And it’s in that moment, when I manage to find this sensitivity that I fell full satisfaction in the photo shot, obviously always respecting the basic rules of photography: light , compositions, cut, cleanliness and so on.
However I am a photographer and I hope that, if I haven’t managed to express myself in words, that my photos will do it for me, and that’s the reason why I love this job.
